Delivery
Flowers
1. In case the recipient isn’t home, the arrangement will be left somewhere safe, unless discussed otherwise. If the arrangement is unable to be left in a safe place (due to dogs, no gate, etc), it will be taken back to the shop
2. If unable to make contact, we will contact the recipient. You will still remain anonymous unless previously arranged
3. All deliveries will be made before 5pm, at the time specified (if applicable)
4. Midnight Bloom will endeavour to deliver all orders on time, however if we can't then contact will be made
5. Orders to hospitals, schools, workplaces etc. may be delivered to the front desk or similar instead of the recipient. In this case, Midnight Bloom will let you know it has been redirected to another place so you can follow up
6. Please make sure the recipients full name and full address is correct. Midnight Bloom takes no responsibility if incorrect details have been provided
7. Personalised messages submitted through the website will be written down as is, so make sure grammar and spelling is correct (this does not include the custom message written by Midnight Bloom)
8. Flower orders are hand delivered and is only available to customers in south east Queensland. If you are unsure whether your location is included, please contact Midnight Bloom
All other Items
1. Orders will be sent within 2 business days using Australia Post
2. Domestic shipping only
3. Shipping is calculated during checkout
Refunds and Returns
Flowers
1. Due to flowers being a perishable item, refunds will only be given to arrangements that:
a) are returned within 48 hours, AND
b) flower quality is low
2. Refunds for arrangements won't be given due to change of mind
All other Items
1. Refunds on non-perishable items for change of mind are available after item/s are returned in unused condition
2. Refunds are given for damaged items arriving in post without the need to return, Midnight Bloom just asks for proof of damage and then the return will be sent within 2 business days
Events
Consultations
Midnight Bloom provides free initial consultations. During this consultation, we will ask about themes, colour schemes, and any ideas you have for arrangements needed. It is recommended that you have a pinterest board or equivalent.
Design and booking fee
1. There is a 20% down payment to secure your event. Booking fees are non-refundable
2. The final balance needs to be paid 3 weeks ahead of your event. Midnight Bloom is not responsible for reminding you of the date
3. Midnight Bloom will be the only florist for your event
4. If found that you are working with more than one florist, Midnight Bloom will cancel your order and you will receive any money paid minus the 20% non-refundable booking fee. If it is cancelled within three weeks of the event, no refund will be made
5. Bookings made within a month of the event shall be paid up front when accepting the quote
6. Please check the quote carefully. Midnight Bloom takes no responsibility for any errors made on your part once the final order is confirmed
Quotes
1. Quotes produced by Midnight Bloom are valid for 30 days from the date on the quote. If the deposit has not been paid within 30 days, please reconfirm the quote through email.
2. Accepting the quote means you have accepted all terms and conditions and ALL items on the quote.
Flower selection
1. Midnight Bloom will provide a list of flowers used in the quotation. We understand that you may be unfamiliar with some flower names, and we urge you to become familiar with them for your event
2. It is your responsibility to be aware and happy with the flower selection before accepting the quote
3. With the prevelance of genAI, photos may have 'flowers' included that don't exist, with colours that can't be achieved naturally, due to this and faux flowers or photoshopped flowers cannot be recreated, however we will endeavour to keep the design as close as possible. We will go through this during consultations and with the delivery of your quote
4. Midnight Bloom will not replicate another florists design exactly
5. We are not responsible for flower unavailability due to seasonal changes or availability
6. We will endeavour to reflect the style, colours, shapes etc. used in sample pictures, however designs will vary as each piece is unique and cannot be fully replicated from one piece to another
7. If some items have become unavailable when ordering, we will substitute them as close to the design as possible. If items are significantly different, Midnight Bloom will contact you for further discussion
8. Midnight Bloom reserves the right to substitute without discussing with you if substitutes need to be made quickly. We will use previous emails and knowledge of your overall theme to provide the best substitution that is still in line with the overall look and style you want
9. Midnight Bloom also reserves the right to substitute flowers with another of similar design, colour and equal value if available flowers are not up to Midnight Blooms standards
Peak periods
During the periods detailed below, you will incur a higher price due to factors that are outside of Midnight Blooms control. Higher delivery fees may also be applicable
These dates are:
2 weeks before and after Valentines day
2 weeks before and after Mothers day
2 weeks before and after Christmas
2 weeks before and after New Years
Reducing/
cancelling items
1. When accepting the estimate, you are agreeing to the items and quantities on the estimate
2. If you wish to remove or reduce items, please contact us before accepting the quote
3. If reducing or removing items within 30 days of the event, there will be no refund. Instead, we will use the flowers for those arrangements to upgrade the arrangements you are still wanting
Late payments
1. Midnight Bloom will not order your event flowers without the final payment. A delayed final payment, causing a late flower order, may result in missing out on desired flowers. Midnight Bloom is not to be held accountable for disappointment of flowers due to late payment
2. Late payment fees will depend on how late payment is
3. Flowers will not be delivered and set up if payment is not made. We reserve the right to cancel your order if payment is not made before the date on the invoice
Cancellations
1. In the event that your event is cancelled, please notify Midnight Bloom within 60 days of the date the event were to take place. Cancellations must be made in writing through our email: althea@midnightbloom.com.au
2. On cancelling 60 days before the event, your money will be refunded minus the 20% down payment and any items already purchased for the event (vases, ribbon, etc.)
3. If cancelling within three weeks of the event, the total invoice must be paid, and there is no refund. This is because all the items will have been purchased already and cannot be reused
Hired items
1. Hired items are your responsibility from the time they are dropped off or picked up, to the time they are returned
2. For items lost, damaged or stolen, you are responsible for payment of the replacement. Cost will be retail price + GST + delivery. Payment is required within 48 hours of the return date
3. Items must be returned clean and in the original boxes provided if applicable. If hired items are not cleaned, there will be a cleaning fee of $15 per item
4. If items are left at the venue of the event, there will be a collection fee of $75 on top of the cleaning fee
Own items used
1. You can opt to use your own vases, ribbons etc. In this case the items are to be delivered 2 weeks in advance, with your name and the date of your event clearly marked
2. Make sure vases are clean and have no unwanted stickers or marks. If they are delivered dirty or with unwanted stickers, there will be a $15 cleaning fee applicable.
3. Midnight Bloom reserves the right to refuse to use items that are not up to our standards eg. chips or cracks in glass vases
Floral installations
1. It is your responsibility to liaise with the venue in regards to permission and health and safety procedures
2. If permission from the event venue has not been given, Midnight Bloom is not responsible for the missing installations
3. You are responsible for alternative arrangements due to weather in the case your event is held outdoors and weather makes it unsafe for us to complete installations. If there is no wet weather plan, Midnight Bloom reserves the right to cancel outdoor installations
Delivery and setup
1. A delivery fee of $50 for one location is applicable to all orders delivered
2. If multiple deliveries need to be made, we will discuss delivery prices ahead of the final quotation
3. We will endeavour to have your flowers to you and set up half an hour before guests are set to arrive, however we cannot guarantee this
4. Please ensure correct delivery details have been provided. If there is no one at the delivery address to receive the delivery, we will attempt to leave it in a safe place and contact you to let you know where we have left them, however we will deem what is safe. If no safe place is found, it will be brought back to the shop, and you will have to arrange for someone to pick it up or for redelivery. Another delivery fee will be applicable
5. We will contact you two weeks before your event to confirm delivery location and times
6. Unless specified in your estimate, we will not be arranging centerpieces at the venue. This will fall on venue staff
7. For full service setups, an additional fee of $25 will be added if setting up outside our usual business times. Please confirm the times of setup with the venue, and make sure we have full access to do so
8. If setup is delayed or for any reason we are unable to do so, we will leave the items at the venue and inform the manager
9. Midnight Bloom is not responsible for any items after they have been delivered
Setups and pack downs
1. Times given for setting up and packing down are approximate, however we will do our best to stick to the time frames
2. We will strive to arrive within 1 hour and 30 minutes, however we cannot guarantee these times
3. Midnight Bloom will keep approved contacts updated on delivery and set up times
4. If we are unable to complete setup before the start time due to our own fault, we will refund any items missing within 7 days. You will not see us on the day, so if we are not finished setting up, we will leave and refund the missing pieces
Photos from the event
1. Midnight Bloom retains all rights to photograph our work for use in advertising. No personal details will be released
2. If photos are provided by you or guests, we will arrange with you whether or not we can use those photos in advertisements. In the case of us being permitted to use your photos, credit will be given
